"Food Net” Distribution


· “Second Harvest”: Farmers will distribute to those who need it, rather than throwing it away

· Community Gardens: family and commercial gardens that will go directly to families in need

· School Gardens: help students begin the process of contributing to the solutions in their communities

· “Grow an Extra Row”: Private gardens donate fresh produce weekly. Join the program

· Education: Gardening, cooking, food preserving, and nutrition classes will be available at DAY CENTERS







Goals for the first 6 months will be:

1. Connecting existing organizations

2. Building a strong volunteer base

3. Connecting donors to their interested base

4. Offering FREE SERVICES (Food, clothing) and:



· Job Development- training in computer use, vocational training and support for entrepreneurial ventures

· Connection - land mail, email and internet access, phone messages and use and also a place to connect with community members

· Direction and support- Guidance for service requests using existing health and human services

·  Comfort-food and drinks, healthy snacks, comfortable spaces and bathrooms and showers) and learning

· Learning- Programs for self improvement
